Good Morning,

If I didn’t know better I would say that winter has arrived. We have a temp of about 27 this morning and yesterday we didn’t get out of the 30’s. They are even talking about the possibility of snow tomorrow, I think. And winter doesn’t officially start for at least a couple of weeks. Hey, where is that global warming thing when you need it?

Changes, they are a coming! Yes, you will see even more changes around the church in the coming days and weeks. Since I don’t know when or how often I will be able to be in the office as I begin treatments, we will have some of our wonderful ladies working in the office. In fact, Joni Stephens and Danna Snapp were both in the office yesterday beginning to figure out what we do and how. They will be working with our attendance records, with our web page, with the bulletin, with getting the music ready to go on the screen on Sunday’s, answering the phone, dealing with the mail and the e-mail, etc. Now, if you would like to spend time in the office on a regular basis, then let me know and I know that we will be able to bring you up to speed on what we are doing as well. There will be times when all we need is someone to be here to answer the phone and just man the fort, which means you won’t have to learn how to do all those other things. Anyway, if you call the church and a woman answers, don’t hang up!

This morning I am doing pretty well, just a little pain. I will have my CT scan late tomorrow afternoon, but I won’t know much until I see my Oncologist on Friday.

Oh, before I forget it, you very well may be asked to help out with our Christmas Eve service on the 24th. In fact, we will be asking about 14 people to take part. No, it won’t be anything hard but you will  have to come up front and say a few words, or read a few words. Anyway, if you are asked to help, have a great Christmas spirit and say “Why sure, I would love to do whatever I can to help out!” The time of the service will be 6:00 p.m.

Have a Great Day in the Lord,
                   Rod
