Good Morning,
We have another warm morning here in KY, at least warm for November, the temp is about 55 this morning heading to a high of about 70 or so. Today and tomorrow will be warm, but what out on Thursday as the temp really drops. By Friday we may have a high in the upper 30’s. Sounds like we may need the heavy coat when you head out shopping on this weekend.
The home Bible study group will be meeting this evening, instead of Thursday, at the home of Chuck & Judy Van Winkle’s at 7. Everyone is invited to come and join in for a great study and wonderful fellowship.
Have you picked up that turkey yet for Thanksgiving? I have to remember to sit ours out so that it defrosts before we get ready to cook it. Last year I was a little late and it was still a little hard when we put it in the oven, but it came out okay. This year I think we are going to brine it before we cook it. That is suppose to help it to stay moist and to give it a bit more flavor. I can taste that hot fresh turkey now, but I think the best part is the sandwiches on Thanksgiving evening, with nice squirt of Tabasco to give it a little kick. Now we’re talking turkey!
I was listening to the news this morning and they were talking about the price of gas. I noticed that it has come down a little the last couple of days. But from what they are saying it’s going to go back up, big time. If you haven’t noticed the price of oil has been bumping around the $100 a barrel range. That isn’t good! By summer they think the price of gas could be anywhere from $4 to $5 a gallon. That will put a real dent in the old pocket book! Can you say “Carpool”? But then I have noticed that what we hear on the news rarely comes to pass, so we will just have to wait and see what happens. That is just the opposite of what it’s like dealing with God. You see, what God says we can take to the bank, it will happen. So when we read the Bible we can be sure, absolutely positive, that what God says in His Word is the truth.
Have a Great Day in the Lord,
Rod
